SOS , yes the debate was Same Old Stuff for both candidates. McCain is hurt by the economy crisis and needed to lift himself up last night. But Sen Mc Cain did not tap into the country's anger. Both candidates seemed detached from the American people's suffering. on paper things look bad for John Mc Cain, but as Sen Obama even knows Mc Cain is most dengerous when he is counted out . Just look at the republican primaries where everybody counted Mc Cain out. the winds have sifted Obama's way and there is no doubt about that.
Obama and McCain are conventional politician, but right now we need a fighter for justice not a condiotional political deal maker. hard working Americans are furious. so why aren't Mc Cain and Obama? Maybe the economic crisis caught them by suprise. but they're showing little emotion. The economy will snap back, but in the mean time there will be much suffering. the Candidates need to spotlight people who failed to prevent this mess like Rep. Barney Frank. Obama and McCain are not to blame for the economic crisis, but they must understand America's pain. In 3 weeks, the landscape of America has changed. Obama and McCain need to get in touch.

A lot of people shared your reaction to the second debate, but the debate format made it difficult for either candidate to announce any sort of comprehensive plan. McCain did have a couple sentences about having the government buy up existing mortgagaes and then letting people refinance their homes based on what their current value actually is. The trouble is after McCain's two minutes were up, the debate what on to toher topics.
