There are many endorsments for presidential candidates. Many, celeberties , Business hot shots, and public offcials have endorst Obama but not that many for Mc Cain. But we have to sperate the endorsments that acctually count and ones that just pickup headlines. the most powerfull endorsment for Obama was Operah. I have not seen any HUGE name American that came out and sepported McCain. And if one did I missed it. Endorsments play a critical roll in this (2008) presidential elections than any other. With many people wanting change in this election.
voters that are not informed as much are looking for their Idol or favorite celeberty to pick an candidate. lets make one thing clear that the voters look at their Favorite rich, cleberty or famous people and fallowing them without purposlly wanting it. Eventhough many people denie fallowing their idol, they acctually do. When Operah (the most influentiall Women) came and endorset Obama in the primaries, Hillary lost many support among the female voters. and the Most recent one was Collin Powel and his endorsment for Obama wich gave obama an boost

I agree that endorsements were probably more important in this election than in the past, especially those of Republicans like Powell and Susan Esienhower and Chris Buckley in that they reassured voters that Obama was "safe" and not the dangerous leftwing extremist that the some in the McCain camp were trying to porotray him as.
